My Role Visual Design

Brief To produce a catalogue that exhibits the project rationales of the artists participating in the ‘Seeing Double’ exhibition.

Process

Seeing Double was an imaginative international exhibition created in partnership with Plimsoll Gallery Hobart and the Tatu Gallery Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition curators asked artists to create work in tandem, pairs working collaboratively between Hobart and Kuala Lumpur. There was no single model or plan to guide the artists but the idea was that the works would influence each other in some way.

The catalog book design visually explored this idea of pairs through the imagery, typography, and layout. It played with experiences relating to seeing or sight such as perceptions of reflections and double vision.
